I'm a book junkie. To show my love for the books I love, I write excessive amounts of summary and opinion.
My current and forever love: Harry Potter
This is no surprise, and I should have written to you all much sooner. I must sadly say that this blog is going on hiatus indefinitely. I didn’t have the heart to delete it, but I think its time I officially let this blog go for the time being.
THANK YOU Thank you all for following me in my Harry Potter chapter by chapter. It’s always made me smile to hear all the wondering messages from you all, and to delve into the world of Harry Potter.
But I’m not completely Tumblr dead. I still have my personal Tumblr and ThanksHarry, my Harry Potter themed tumblr.
Hope to see you guys on my other Tumblrs and don’t hesitant to say Hey! :D
P.S. I hope to keep you all as followers since I hope to be back on this when I have some side time. Probably come Winter during uni break. :) Love you all!

Statues by Alexandre Desplat
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II Soundtrack

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 2 Soundtrack- Statues

For me, this is one of my favorite songs in the Deathly Hallows’ soundtrack. It gives you such an odd feeling in the pit of your stomach. This overwhelming emotional feeling that gives you chills and makes you grab at your chest. This song gives me such an appreciation and love for the necessity of music in epic film-making.

Just thinking of this scene…As McGonagall is bringing to life the statues. One by one they fall, making it all so beautifully dramatic. As you hear them hit the ground, you know this is the beginning of it all. This song, in combination with the scene was just such so brilliant, so chilling, and so haunting. Was one of the only times during the film I thought I might just explode and burst in tears.

p-luvial: What is your favorite quote from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone?

Hmm. This is kind of tricky. Anything from the Mirror of Erised chapter. With that say, probably

"It does not do to dwell on dream and forget to live, remember that."

:D

Chapter Twenty-Four: The Wandmaker

"So young, to be fighting so many."

Harry is grieving Dobby, overwhelmed by it all. Harry buries the elf himself and after a few words of farewell they go in, Harry wanting to speak to Griphook and Ollivander. Harry, with the knowledge that something important [a horcrux] is in Lestrange’s vault, he asks Griphook to help them break in. Next they speak to Ollivander, talking about the Death Stick; the Elder Wand. Harry then saw, into Voldemort’s mind, as Voldemort splits open Dumbledore’s tomb and takes the Elder Wand for himself.

"On Harry dug, deeper and deeper into the hard, cold earth, subsuming his grief in sweet, denying the pain in his scar…"

<It must be horrible for Harry. To know that he caused another that he love to die. Dobby, willingly put himself into harms way because he wanted to save the Boy Who Lived.
Imagine living with that; so many people have perished in the act of protecting him…but its more than that. They are protecting Harry because he embodies good, and the force that can end Voldemort. It’s bigger than Harry.

"You are an unusual wizard, Harry Potter."

<One of my favorite parts in this chapter is when they are speaking to Griphook. The goblin, who has only seen humans treat creatures other than themselves with little respect, watches a young man burying an elf; giving him a proper burial. And Harry did not lazily created a grave with a flick of his wand. He dug it without magic; with his own sweat and tears. Harry also saved Griphook himself, who Harry could have easily left behind, but he didn’t. Perhaps living half his life away from the Wizarding World, he does not find this strange, but Griphook does.
It makes you realize how pure Harry’s heart is; how kind, respectful he is & the brutal treatment these creatures have dealt with elsewhere…
That the simple act of doing what is right would seem extraordinary.

I love this. I always loved this parallel.
For Harry’s first journey to Hogwarts he was completely alone. Hagrid left him at King’s Cross with only a ticket in hand. He had no idea what to do, how do get on the platform and what laid ahead. Imagine being eleven all alone, with no guidance. But then he found the Weasleys, which I always thought was very significant. That from the very beginning of Harry’s magical journey, Molly and the Weasleys took Harry in as their own flesh and blood.
Now, after all these years, Harry’s children don’t have to worry about journeying alone. They will always have Harry there to be there for them. He remembers want it was like to live in that cupboard under the stairs. He also knows the love of a family that he was so lucky to witness and be apart of from the Weasleys.
I’m sure, from these fact alone, Harry is a great father.

I don’t really deserve new followers, since I’ve been such a lazy mush who isn’t following her Harry Potter summary duties..but THANK YOU anyway;)
